Returns and replacements

Live plants cannot be returned and resold, so we replace rather than accept returns.

What is covered

We hand the plant to you in person, so look at it before we leave. If it is not right, say so at the door and we will take it back there and then — no photographs, no email, no waiting.

If a problem appears in the first few days, email vandebeejam@gmail.com within 48 hours with photographs. We replace it at no cost, with the same lead time your first order took, counted from the day you tell us about the damage. We replace rather than refund.

The Nabhi guarantee

For 3 months after delivery, or the harvest window on the plant's page if shorter, if your plant fails while you have watered only through the olla, we replace it.

What is not covered

• Transit wilting and leaf yellowing that recovers within a week. This is normal after a journey in a dark box.
• Plants watered over the surface instead of through the olla. The bag is built around the olla and surface watering defeats it.
• Seasonal failure to fruit. Planting outside the season shown on each product page affects yield.

Cancellations

Plant orders cannot be cancelled. From the moment you order, a bag is built and a plant is started or transplanted just for you. It cannot be undone or passed on to someone else, so please order only when you are sure. Why we grow every plant to order.

Chatnipudi, breakfast mixes and crafts can be cancelled any time before dispatch for a full refund.

Getting help first

If a plant is struggling rather than dead, write to us before anything else. Most problems in the first month are watering or sunlight and we would rather help you fix it than send a replacement.
